Meet our new Junior Account Executive, Matt Beaty.

Matt joined ZEAL in July and got stuck in straight away, working on some exciting promotional campaigns with the IPM Team of the Year, the Nestlé account team.

Matt graduated from The University of Manchester, with a First-Class degree in International Management with American Business Studies. As part of his degree, he had the amazing opportunity to spend a year living and studying in Seattle. Whilst away in the States, Matt studied a course in advertising led by a fantastic teacher who really inspired him to pursue a career the field of advertising and marketing. He really loved her classes, and this ultimately led him to ZEAL – thanks Elizabeth!

After this, Matt spent 6 months living and travelling in British Colombia, Canada before returning to Manchester to study his final year at University. Whilst in Canada, Matt worked in a pie shop often baking pies through the night and into the morning. Matt loved his time there and reckons it’s one of the greatest jobs he’s ever had – he’s certain that if he wasn’t working in marketing today, he’d be running his own pie shop. We’re all waiting for him to prove himself at the ZEAL Bake Off!

Matt talks about his time so far, as part of the Nestlé team;

“My time at ZEAL so far has been brilliant, working on the IPM Team of the Year has been an awesome way for me to learn and develop my account handling skills thus far. I’ve loved working with a number of confectionery brands and can’t wait to see the campaigns that I’ve worked on go live. More than anything, I have learnt be a sponge and absorb everything!”

Alexandra Woolley, Account Manager, is certain of the value Matt is adding to the team;

“We’re thrilled to have Matt on the Nestlé team. His eagerness to get involved in projects is evident due to his inquisitive nature and he’s already become a valuable member of the team as he helps to deliver some of the key projects on the account. We’re excited to see Matt continue to grow his knowledge and skills, developing into a great account handler.”

Matt loves the outdoors – when he’s not working on fantastic FMCG campaigns with the Team of the Year, he spends his weekends hiking, mountain biking, camping, skiing and even wild swimming, and he’s just signed up to his local rugby team in Didsbury. Matt takes coffee and craft beer very seriously too, so if he’s not exploring the outdoors or on the rugby field, he’ll most likely be in a craft brewery in Manchester sampling hoppy pale ales.

We are always recruiting to grow our Account Handling team – if you’ve got experience creating award-winning FMCG campaigns, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch with our Head of Talent John Saxon: John@zealcreative.com
