Introducing our wonderful new Junior Account Executive, Heather Chung.
Since joining ZEAL in June, Heather has become a key part of the Kellogg’s account team. She’s been busy; working on the “Crunchy Nut Shazam” experience, supporting the out of home and in-store creatives for Kellogg’s Fibre, Rice Krispies Squares and W K Kellogg’s, and working on Pringles campaign prize fulfilment in the UK and ROI. She’s still figuring out how to work in her party trick – being able to fit her whole forearm inside a Pringles can and touch the bottom!
Before joining ZEAL, Heather trained and qualified as a Disputes solicitor with global commercial law firm Herbert Smith Freehills. Her specialism was in commercial litigation, focusing mainly on white collar crime and anti-fraud legislation. In this position, Heather had the unique opportunity to work in the firm’s office in Sydney, Australia.
Being a naturally creative person with a deep interest in the arts – she holds a First-Class degree (BA Hons) in Music from Durham University – Heather decided it was time to consider a career change.
After 3.5 years in the legal industry, she decided to put herself on an exciting, new path that would allow her to be far more creative, whilst making full use of all of the skills and experience that she gained working in the legal industry. She felt agency life would give her the room to explore a perfect mix of these things, and this path lead her to ZEAL.
Heather is currently working on a host of new business across the FMCG sector, which has included various research, interviewing and planning projects, as well as a number of exciting Kellogg’s projects set to go live across the EMEA region in 2019/2020.
Heather talks about her experience of working at ZEAL so far;
“ZEAL has been amazingly supportive in giving me the opportunity to explore the marketing industry and agency life, and I have enjoyed every minute so far! Spending my days working with a host of global brands and a bunch of the most down-to-earth, talented people at the IPM Agency of the Year – what more could I ask for. I love the fact that involvement in an array of projects at ZEAL is actively encouraged, and I’ve already become immersed in a mix of account management and planning. I’m so excited to be part of ZEAL’s next chapter.”
Colleen Rea, Senior Account Director, talks about the value Heather is already adding to the team:
“Heather is a fantastic addition to team ZEAL, she is incredibly conscientious and is already working on a number of FMCG projects, bringing with her rigour, in-depth research and intelligent client service skills.”
Heather has a lot of family abroad and spends her holidays visiting loved ones. She loves to keep up with piano practice, and is a big advocate for all things mindfulness and wellness-related; when not in the office, she spends a lot of time in boutique gyms and hot yoga studios in and around Manchester. On a weekend, she can usually be found enjoying avocado on toast, brunching and catching up with friends.
We are always recruiting to grow our Account Handling team – if you’ve got experience creating award-winning FMCG campaigns, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch with our Head of Talent John Saxon: John@zealcreative.com
