ZEAL Creative was last night named Breakthrough Agency 2017 by The Marketing Agencies Association, at their annual DoDifferent Awards.
ZEAL is the first creative agency from Manchester to win the Guardian sponsored award and only the second agency outside of London to pick up the title.
The title of ‘Breakthrough Agency’ is awarded by a judging panel of marketing industry experts. It recognises the UK creative agency that has grown most quickly, picked up the most big name clients and delivered impressive and effective campaigns along the way.
In less than 3 years ZEAL has grown from 2 founders to 28 people, working on campaigns across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa for brands such as Kellogg’s, Pringles, Nestlé, PZ Cussons, John West and Vileda.
The Breakthrough title is not the first time that ZEAL has delivered in industry awards. In June, ZEAL was the only agency in the UK to win THREE Golds at the Institute of Promotional Marketing Effectiveness Awards.
This year’s MAA awards were the finale of a whole day of exciting DoDifferent events in London. The events, organised by the MAA, encouraged breakthrough creativity and innovation across the UK marketing industry.
Creative Director, Stewart Hilton, explains why the Breakthrough award is such a big deal for ZEAL:
“When we launched ZEAL, we set a number of BIG HAIRY GOALS for the business; one of which was to win this showpiece award, within our first 3 years. To find out last night that we had actually done it was amazing for the whole team. We are lucky enough to work with some brilliant clients, on some amazing brands and this is just more recognition of the wonderful work we do together”.
Rob White, ZEAL’s Planning Director, is confident the agency can live up to the title:
“It’s flattering that industry experts have singled ZEAL out for this praise and it only makes us more hungry to create even bigger and better campaigns for our clients. We now have an official reputation for Breakthrough work that we need to live up to every day we arrive at the agency. Bring it on!”
The award news comes as ZEAL prepare to move offices to The Tomorrow Project, at MediaCityUK, to provide more room for their ever-expanding team.
